Ice Cream

 

 

Making pretend ice cream sundaes in the sensory table using cotton balls and pom poms.

 

 

Which ice cream is your favorite???  Vanilla, chocolate or strawberry???  Each monkey friend decided what their favorite flavor of ice cream was, and then they painted their ice cream cone that flavor:)

 

 

Our ice cream taste test!!  3 monkey friends liked chocolate best, 5 monkey friends liked strawberry best and 5 monkey friends liked vanilla best!

We TOPPED off our week by making homemade ice cream using frozen bananas!  YUMMM!!

 

 

 

 

4th of July and Red, White, and Blue

During circle time, we used positional words to put a blue star on our head, foot, nose, ear, elbow, knee...they did awesome!

 

 

We celebrated two birthdays this week- Happy Birthday boys!!

The St. Charles Park and Recreation had two wonderful volunteers come to school and show us  a really cool demonstration! The kids especially liked it when they broke the boards!

 

 

Each monkey friend sang Happy Birthday to America!

Camping

 One of our Monkey friends is ready to go camping!  At circle time we talked about the clothes we wear while camping and the items we bring!

We picked up sticks from out on the playground and made campfire art!

We practiced making the letter "Cc" for camping in shaving cream.

 

We had lots of fun at Water Play Day!  We finally had some awesome weather!

 

 

We made a pretend campfire and roasted pretend marshmallows!
