Fall Week

Making beautiful Fall trees using red and orange paint and a piece of aluminum foil!

It was a beautiful Fall day so we went on a Fall Nature Walk.  We gathered lot of leaves, sticks and acorns!

We worked really hard on making our stained glass leaves!  You can find them displayed on the windows of the Monkey classroom

We learned a fun Fall song, "The Leaves are Falling Down."  Each Monkey friend sang the song and dropped leaves on the brown paper to make a beautiful Fall leaf mural!

We ended the week by having a leaf investigation!  Each Monkey friend searched for a special leaf outside and they had to describe why they chose that leaf and the color and size of it!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear

We acted out the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear.

We worked on our fine motor skills by tearing paper and gluing it on the paper to make a "blue horse" from the Brown Bear, Brown Bear story.

We sorted Fruit Loops by color!

We used bubble wrap to make a "goldfish" from the Brown Bear, Brown Bear story.

We worked really really hard for the past two weeks on making each friend their own Brown Bear, Brown Bear books- we hope you all enjoyed reading them with your child!

The Giraffe Class invited us to be a part of their career week so we had the opportunity to listen to firefighters and a police man tell us all about the importance of their jobs.  Some Monkey Friends even got to sit inside the fire truck and police car- the kiddos were so excited!!
