We learned about the life cycle of a butterfly and worked on our fine motor skills while cutting out pictures of each stage of the life cycle and putting them in order!
We learned that the word "symmetry" means "the same." We used symmetry to make the other side of the butterfly the same by placing the same shapes on both sides of the butterfly!
After talking about symmetry at circle time, during activity time we folded a butterfly in half and painted a design on it's wing. Next, we folded it in half again so now both sides of the wings are the same...have symmetry!
Practicing letter writing! The letter of the week was "Ii."
Coloring flowers!
After coloring the flowers, we attached a straw to the flower and drank juice....just like a butterfly drinking nectar!!
